James completed his Bachelors of Physiotherapy at the University of Newcastle. During his studies James gained valuable experience in assessing and treating patients across a variety of Physiotherapy domains. These include acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, acute cardiopulmonary, neurological, acute sporting injuries and rehab, community Physiotherapy and acute trauma in the emergency department.
Prior to undertaking a degree in Physiotherapy James worked seven years in the health and fitness industry as Personal Trainer and Gym Supervisor at the University prescribing tailored exercises programs for the students and staff. As a result, James has developed a particular interest in utilising and active approach to treatment which encompasses both exercise based therapy and empowering the patient to effectively manage their rehabilitation.
James has developed an interest in treating acute and chronic low back pain, neck and shoulder injuries and post-surgical patients.
Outside of work James likes to spend his spare time undertaking a range of activities. These include hiking, working out at the gym, playing video games or enjoying a morning coffee with his fiancé and French bulldog Gustav.
