Emily Hayes
Department: Registered Psychologist
Emily is a psychologist with over 7 years experience working with adolescents and adults. She has a warm, down-to-earth approach which puts her clients at ease and makes a safe space for them to explore any challenges or concerns and to formulate a plan with them to move towards a more fulfilling life.
Emily has particular experience in addressing depression, anxiety, confidence and self-esteem issues, relationship issues, neurodivergence (ADHD and Autism), stress, workplace issues and trauma. She has experience working with clients from all walks of life, including rural and mining communities. Emily also has a particular interest in supporting women as they go through all stages of their life, including young adulthood, motherhood, perimenopause and menopause.
She utilises a client-centred approach, using evidence-based interventions such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, EMDR, mindfulness-based therapies, self-compassion and neuro-affirming care, in order to provide treatment that is based on the client’s individual goals.
In between working and raising her kids Emily enjoys bush walking, dabbling in arts and crafts, watching comedies, and having a good meal.
